President of Carolina
The President of Carolina is Clinton Fel. Fel was elected in 5626 and took office for a five-year term on January 20, 5627. Fel was a Senator for twenty years before becoming President. He led his party (the Republicans) for the previous five years. He defeated the incumbent President Jule Walters, (a Neo-Republican) in a close election. Carolina’s government is characterized by a smooth transition between leaders and this time was no different.
Fel is known as a fiscal conservative and closely watches the budget. In the election he mentioned personal concern at the amount of funds Carolina gives to the Consortium for naval purchases, while acknowledging the need for the world to defend itself. He is known to be in favor of increasing Jersey’s technological base and standard of living, a major political issue on Carolina.
